WHO AM I

My long lasting love of movement and health has gotten me to this special place in my life. My desire to share what I have learned through experience and formal education in psychology is profound. It has given me a unique, hands on perspective on how to achieve our goals and deal with life’s imbalances in our body and mind.

If we let go of the idea that health is based on an age and focus on happiness and well-being instead, I believe everyone can feel better than they do right now.

To work with me means you’ll be working with someone who is invested in you and your health. Together we’ll find a path that works for you and takes you where you need to go.

Healthy Eating
Healthy eating means eating a variety of foods that give you the nutrients you need to maintain your health, feel good, and have energy. These nutrients include protein, carbohydrates, fat, water, vitamins, and minerals.
Nutrition is important for everyone. ...

Healthy eating for me is a daily commitment. Waking up in the morning, I have to make my intentions for the day very clear to myself.
Being present and being mindful of what I put in my mouth
is my choice and my choice alone.
I have come to realize that the 90/10 rule is a realistic approach for me and my clients. The 90/10 rule is where 90% of the time I am eating clean healthy foods and the remaining 10% I can be flexible. When I am at an event or at a place with limited healthy options I have the flexibility to eat what's available and I don't have to chalk the whole day up as a loss.
It works for me....

Do you feel like your life is balanced? Do you have boundaries?
Do you honor and respect yourself by practicing them?

Boundaries help create a balanced life
which give us a feeling of peace.

Not an easy task for me. I try and follow the "Circle of Life" tool that I used in school to gauge what needs to be work on.
Within the Circle are:
Spirituality, Creativity, Finances, Career, Education, Health, Physical Activity, Home Cooking, Home Environment, Relationships, Social Life and Joy.
So once a month, I take this circle out and see where I fall in each category and I tackle the one that is most problematic. This way I don't get overwhelmed by trying to take on more than I can handle.

Spirituality

I read this article recently which stated;
If spirituality is like a swimming pool, then getting wet is required. Not everyone has to jump in the deep-end. We first start by sticking our toe in, then our foot, then we run back, then next time we are up to our knees.

My journey was and is exactly this. I been searching for years to find that perfect connect, that sweet spot, where all the answers are right in front of you, black and white.
I've come to realize that there is no black and white.
There is always another turn, another door to open. There is a purpose, a reason you are where you are. Take that step, open that door. Vulnerability makes you light. You'll feel that fear and come back for more
